Fox Theatre Parking Garage

The owner of the Fox Theatre plans to begin construction on a $9.1 million parking garage at 3637 Washington Blvd. in Grand Center. 

According to the St. Louis Business Journal, BSI Constructors will build the 627-car, five-story garage.

The architect is listed as Ron Ireland.

Description: A park in St. Louis'™ music and arts district is getting a facelift thanks to Southwest Airlines' œHeart of the Community program led by and Project for Public Spaces. 

Strauss Park at Grand Center will be receiving improvements to spruce up the site. St. Louis was one of six cities across the country to obtain the $100,000 grant in 2015.

What: The updated plans for Strauss Park include physical additions such as outdoor reading rooms, information kiosks, tables and chairs.

Description: Grand Center arts district'™s first performing-arts incubator in Historic Cadillac Building. The Kranzberg Arts Foundation is  retrofitting the building with a small theater, offices and event space.

-Theater with proscenium style stage and 202-seat capacity
-Full theater lighting and audio package
 -Private green room/dressing room
-Grand lobby with bar, box office and elevator access
-Co-op office space including Wi-Fi, printing, conference table, kitchenette, desk stations and private bathrooms

What: As many as six arts organizations will share the 200-seat theater to be built on the building first floor.  .ZACK features will include a restaurant and catering operation. The third floor will be available as commercial space and live/work apartments for artists

Description: 14,000-square foot park designed by Forum Studio (St. Louis) and Land Collective (Philadelphia)
Where: St Louis City (Grand Center/Midtown) across from Grand Center Arts Academy
What: Park design includes seating terraces and a small amphitheater. The $1-million project construction funding will come from the Metro Parks Sales Tax Fund plus support from Dana Brown Charitable Trust and an anonymous donor.

Description: Performance Green Space and Park
Where: St Louis City (Grand Center/Midtown) east of Powell Symphony Hall.
What: Performance Green is 2.5-acres and will become a venue for myriad performances in the visual and acoustical arts, and will host year-round park programming, including summer fountains, winter skating, cafes, and the display of art. This includes Circus Flora, whose annual presence in Saint Louis is a tradition enjoyed by generations.

Delmar Hall


Description:  800-person capacity Performance and Concert Venue

What: 10,000-square-foot space, Transit-oriented development. Expected to cost $2.5 million

Brew Hub Chesterfield


Description:  A $20 million regional craft brewery
Where: Suburban Chesterfield, Missouri
What:  The facility will have an initial brewing capacity of 75,000 barrels, or one million cases. The brewery will ultimately be able to expand to 200,000 barrels annually.

In addition to a tasting room, biergarten and brewery tours, the new Brew Hub brewery will house the company's corporate headquarters.

St. Louis-based Brew Hub ultimately plans to open five facilities nationwide” an investment totaling $100 million.
